What we collect
When you fill out a form on this site, we collect only what you type into it:
- Email signup: your name, email address, and ZIP code.
- Volunteer form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), ward, how you’d like to help, and anything you write in the notes field.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not run analytics that profile you across other websites.
How we use it
To contact you about the campaign: updates, volunteer shifts, events, and get-out-the-vote reminders. That is all.
Your information is stored in the campaign’s Google Workspace account and is accessible to campaign staff and authorized volunteers.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not rent or trade our list to other campaigns, committees, or vendors.
- We never collect payment information on this site. All contributions are processed by ActBlue, which has its own privacy policy. We never see your card number.
Contributions are public record
This is worth knowing before you give. Illinois law requires candidate committees to report contributions to the Illinois State Board of Elections. Depending on the amount, your name, address, occupation, and employer may become part of a public record that anyone can search. That obligation comes from the state, not from us, and it applies no matter which campaign you give to.
Email and text
Every campaign email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor it. You can also email info@jadeforevanston.com and ask to be removed, and we’ll take you off the list.
Ask us to delete your information
Email info@jadeforevanston.com and we will remove you from our lists. Note that contribution records already reported to the State Board of Elections cannot be deleted — they are a public filing.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top.
