Why the store isn’t open yet

Under Illinois campaign finance law, buying a yard sign or a t-shirt from a candidate committee is a contribution, not a retail purchase. That means the committee has to collect and report purchaser information. We’re building that in properly rather than shipping a checkout that puts the committee out of compliance.
